Help Make Addlestone a Fairtrade Town
HOW is it done? - We have already achieved 3 of the 5 Goals and need your help on the other 2:
A local Fairtrade steering group must be convened to ensure continued commitment to Fairtrade Town
Status = Done
A range of Fairtrade products must be readily available in the area’s
shops and served in local cafés and catering establishments
Status = Done
Fairtrade products must be used by a number of local work places (estate agents,
hairdressers etc) and community organisations (churches, schools etc)
Status = Done - You can help push this ahead in your work-place
and of course by purchasing Fairtrade goods
Attract media coverage and popular support for the campaign
Status = More needed
The local council must pass a resolution supporting Fairtrade, and serve Fairtrade
coffee and tea at its meetings and in offices and canteens
NOW DONE - Thanks for your lobbying & support.
